Today the web site passed the 500 registered user mark. The web site went
live on December 1st 2001. The target for December was 500 users. On 31st
December we had 352 users. The December target was reached 8 days later
than expected. The January target is 1500 Users.
The goal was to reach 500-1000 users before releasing the rest of the web site. Several people refused to register as there was no way of staying anonymous with the current plan. Since we would like the web site to have as many Croatians using it as possible we have had to change our original plan. Users will be all allowed to operate under a nickname (much like ICQ, chat rooms etc). This name will come up in all functions (including searches) ensuring that the users identity is revealed only to people they have authorized. Initially users will be divided into states. We feel to remain anonymous each state will need at least 100 registered users. At this stage the only Zupanija that have reached that amount are Zagreb and Zagrebacka Zupanija (which we are combining). We plan to release the Zagreb and Zagrebacka Zupanija before the end of January. As for the others we will announce what will be done with them in this news section.
